RANDOM THOUGHT
The meind si inundated with information: numerical graphs, market
values, per capita statistics, long-term projections, casualty counts, body-fat percentages, time tables, agendas, ticking-clocks…and a perpetual state of stress is injected in minds that are unused to the overload of input and so cannot distinguish between the relevant and the irrelevant.
Cut away from circadian rhythms, metabolic rates, natural cycles, seasonal continuity, night following day reality, the average dolt falls prey to this new state of affairs, buys into it, and burns itself out trying to adhere to its artificiality.
Meanwhile the wise man sits calmly, watching the rush, following his own tempo, knowing his own values….hearing beats lost to the masses in the din of modernity, living in a different flow.
The wise man sits quietly, and only speaks when he has something to say; only acts when he is moved; only cares when he has a reason to.
